Carlos Raffaeli is a Brazilian visual artist based in Amsterdam. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he studied Painting at the Escola de Belas Artes (UFRJ).
His work is influenced by the landscapes, colors, and cultural atmosphere of the Brazilian coast and its Atlantic Forest. Through painting, he explores themes of nature, solitude, escapism, and the relationship between human experience and contemporary technology.
His practice moves between personal memory, natural environments, and reflections on modern life, drawing on both familiar landscapes and imagined spaces.
His work has been presented in exhibitions and art publications in Brazil. Now living in the Netherlands, he continues to develop his artistic practice in a new cultural context.
